About This Book

It is well known that scientific developments in the aerospace industry are leading today’s technology, and the aircraft is an essential product of aviation. For this reason, this book will cover several topics on materials science in aerospace, air vehicle structures and manufacturing methods for aerospace products. Recent trends in these fields will be discussed as well as new technological developments will be given in the book. In addition to detailed information on specific topics, case studies and practical applications will be included in this book. Aircraft technologies have been the locomotive for the developments in the other sectors. Although several books are written on aircraft, rapid developments and new technological progress in this field urge us to produce new sources to follow the recent aircraft technologies. For this reason, this book will fulfil the need for a comprehensive source on today’s aircraft technologies. This book will enlighten the public from a very broad perspective, from material science to modern production techniques. Recent advanced manufacturing methods such as additive manufacturing or new structural designs in aircraft will be given in detail. Hence, this book will be a reference source for students, researchers and academicians.
